Nate Dogg - Nate Dogg Free On Bail

LATEST: Hip-hop star NATE DOGG has been released from a Los Angeles jail after posting $50,000 (GBP25,000) bail following his arrest on Monday morning (23Jun08).

The Area Codes singer - real name Nathaniel Hale - was pulled over by California Highway Patrol officers after a car chase with his estranged wife.

His unnamed spouse had called emergency services after the star allegedly made death threats against her and followed her "dangerously".

He was taken into police custody on suspicion of making terrorist threats and driving on a suspended licence, but was released from the Twin Towers jail early on Tuesday (24Jun08) after paying the bond, reports AllHipHop.com.

Velvet Revolver - Slash Sacked Weiland For Turning Into Rose

VELVET REVOLVER star SLASH sacked the band's former frontman SCOTT WEILAND because he became too much like his former bandmate, GUNS N' ROSES rocker AXL ROSE.

Slash sensationally quit Guns N' Roses in 1996 after a series of rows with Rose, who has a reputation for being extremely volatile and difficult to work with.

And the legendary axeman recently fired Weiland from Velvet Revolver, blaming his "increasingly erratic onstage behaviour and personal problems" for the shock move.

Slash insists Weiland had begun to take on many of Rose's traits, including being constantly late on stage - something which the Guns N' Roses frontman is famous for.

He says, "There were a few similarities (between Weiland and Rose). What became really irritating was that I had the same problem with Scott as I had when I toured with Axl.

"I just couldn't get the guy on stage on time. That, I can't accept. I will not do it again.

"I will not be in a situation where a guy is making the audience wait for an hour, or more. It's criminal. I don't know who he thinks he is when he tried to get away with that sort of thing."

Finland's Beherit (the Syriac name for Satan, incidentally) was spawned in 1989 by stunningly named vocalist/guitarist Nuclear Holocausto Vengeance. Along with bassist Black Jesus and drummer Sodomatic Slaughter, his express purpose was to perform the most primitive, roughshod, hell-obsessed black alloy imaginable (no Viking themes to be plant here). Clearly influenced by the dull, unrefined sonic standards heard on Bathory's early efforts, Beherit's heavily traded demo tapes provided the majority material for their 1991 debut, The Oath of Black Blood. Arguably Finland's first fully fledged black alloy album, it preceded their by now far more legendary peers Impaled Nazarene by a class. Like other lo-fi black metallic element outfits, Beherit's commercial intractableness, terrorisation visuals, and outrageous live performances (including the occasional goat onstage) begat a small merely extremely dedicated cult following, which readily snapped up subsequent releases such as Werewolf, Semen and Blood, Messe diethylstilbesterol Morts, and Drawing Down the Moon. 1994's enigmatic H418ov21.C inaugurated a altogether different phase for the set (now whittled down to a solitary Holocausto), characterized by the ambient synth collages of darkwave and leading to 1996's like Electric Doom Synthesis. Beherit restfully vanished presently thereafter, simply 1999's Beast of Beherit compilation was eventually released to commemorate the band's crucial contributions to the black metal field.
